About VINTAGE / Why VINTAGE?

Vintage clothes are pre-loved. Each piece of vintage clothing is one of a kind and tells a unique story- this is the beauty of vintage in my opinion. (: I like the thought of wearing a piece of story. I also like that vintage clothing usually have interesting, distinctive prints, intricate details and a classy and classic silhouette that set them apart from modern clothes.

Why Choose Vintage from HEIRESS?

When shopping for vintage clothes, it is good to have an eye for alteration. This is due to the fact that vintage clothes are normally too long, or oversized, or have sleeves that are too long etc. for them to be wearable and relevant in the 21st century. What sets us apart from other vintage stores is that our clothes are slightly altered/ chosen as-is to look relevant, modern, young and wearable. In other words, we sell vintage clothes that look contemporary but still retain the essence of vintage- the distinctive prints and intricate details.

Each piece of vintage clothing is hand-picked by us in Hong Kong, mostly coming from Japan.

Condition of the Vintage Clothes

​

Please note that all vintage clothing are pre-owned, and as a result may have signs of wear and/or defects. That said, we will try our best to describe each garment, and point out significant defects (e.g. stain, missing button, tear). We will also take a close up photo of the notable flaw so you can have a better judgement when purchasing the garment. In summary, we have divided the condition of vintage into the following 3 bands:

 

Excellent

  •  No flaws. Like new/ barely noticeable signs of wear.

 

Very Good

  • Minor flaws. Some signs of wear.

 

Good

  • Notable flaws. Visible signs of wear.

Sizes and Measurements

​

We will note down the INDICATED SIZE if we can find the size label on the garment. Otherwise, we will indicate the ESTIMATED SIZE, which is the size we think the garment will fit. For more accurate fitting assessment, please refer below to get a clearer idea of how we measure the garment.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

  • All garments are measured in inches.

  • WAIST measurements are taken AROUND the waist (not FLAT 2 dimensionally)

Purchase and Reservation / Mode of Payment

Make a purchase by emailing us at heiressvintage@gmail.com, and then make the payment via PayPal, all major credit cards or local bank transfer (Hong Kong and Singapore only). We will reserve the item for you for 48 hours from the time of the email, payment must be settled within the stated period or the item will be re-listed.

Shipment and Postage

​

Items will be shipped from Singapore, after the payment is settled. We ship all items by registered mail, which comes with a tracking number so you can track the whereabouts of your purchase. We will email you the tracking number on the day we post the parcel.

 

For international shipment, postage fee is a flat rate of 11 USD for the first item and 5 USD for each additional item.

 

For orders within Singapore, postage fee is a flat rate of 3 USD for the first item and 1 USD for each additional item. To help you save on

postage fee, we can also arrange to meet up to pass you your purchase. Just drop us an email at heiressvintage@gmail.com so we can work out a meeting time and place that is convenient for both parties.

 

Please note that any customs fees/ tariffs/ taxes (which may be incurred upon delivery) are not included in the item price and postage fee, and the buyer shall bear the cost of the charges. Therefore, please check with your country's customs office for possible additional fees as such.

 

It usually takes about 7 – 14 days for the delivery depending on your country of residence. We will advice you on how long the delivery will take (specific to where you are), and we will provide you with the tracking number, on the day we post your purchase. Speedpost is an option for faster delivery but it will cost more. Please indicate to us via email if you would like to opt for your items to be delivered via Speedpost.

 

If you have any special request, inquiry, or follow up on delivery, or just any question at all, once again please do not hesitate to email us at heiressvintage@gmail.com.

Refund and Exchange Policy

​

All sales are final. So we highly recommend you to please check thoroughly before making a purchase. However, in the event that you discover there has been a gross misinterpretation of the garment upon delivery, you can drop us an email and we can talk it through and work something out. (:

Please note that colours shown on your screen may vary from the actual colour of the garment, since monitors display colour differently. That said, we will try our best to use the photos that best represent the actual colour of the garments.
